Every September, Vila Praia de Âncora celebrates its patroness of the fishermen with a week of religious moments, concerts and street life. The committee wanted one link that answered every question people ask in the days before: what’s on tonight, who’s organising this, and where do I get the hoodie?
What we built
A single, fast, static site — no CMS to maintain, nothing to break the week of the festival. The programme lives on one page, day by day, with the official schedule graphics available to download and share on Instagram stories. The committee gets its own section with photos and short, personal descriptions for all nineteen members, because a festival is made of people.
The merch page lists hoodies and t-shirts with size charts, care instructions and the order deadline, priced in ondas — the festival’s own currency.
Details that mattered
- Two languages. A full English version at
/en/withhreflangtags, so visitors from abroad get the right one from search. - Rich results. Schema.org
Festivalmarkup with dates, location and organiser, so the event shows up properly on Google. - Made for phones. Most people open it from a story link, so the layout is mobile-first and the poster loads in a small version first.
- Brand from the sea. Sky blue, navy and a pink accent, with a handwritten display face for the name — nós somos maresia.
